Job summary

Deep Well Services is seeking a Commissioning and Inspection Technician in Zelienople, PA to assist with commissioning new well-servicing assets and support inspections on hydraulic completion units. The role covers assembly, inspection, function testing, disassembly, cleaning, and pre-commissioning activities to ensure equipment meets procedures and OEM recommendations.

The position requires 1+ year of mechanical/labor experience, 2+ years in oil & gas or manufacturing, and a valid driver's

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of verified work experience in mechanical or labor roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in oil and gas, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience disassembling large industrial equipment for preventative maintenance programs.
  • General understanding of industrial hydraulic and mechanical principles.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Review and adhere to DWS procedures and OEM recommendations pertaining to the inspection and functioning of DWS equipment.
  • Review and adhere to DWS HSQE procedures while working within DWS facilities.
  • Assist with assembling, inspecting, and function testing new rigs and ancillary equipment prior to and during the commissioning phase of new packages.
  • Assist in completing factory acceptance testing of new rigs.
  • Travel to rig-specific OEM locations to assist with pre-commissioning activities before taking ownership of the equipment.
  • Assist with disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, and function testing current rigs, ancillary equipment, and critical subcomponents for rig packages undergoing Category III and Category IV inspections.
  • Work with critical subcomponents including slip bowls, rotaries, circulating swivels, and related equipment.
  • Operate large industrial equipment such as overhead cranes, jib cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, manlifts, pressure washers, and sandblasters in accordance with DWS policies.
  • Maintain clear communication with the supervisor and take instructions as directed.
  • Work within and leverage key business systems and resources, including Salesforce and Microsoft applications, to effectively perform daily job duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

ICT Wage: $22.00/H

ICT 1 Wage: $24.26/H

ICT 2 Wage: $28.67/H

ICT 3 Wage: $33.08/H

Status: Full time

Reports to: Commissioning and Inspection Manager

Travel Requirements: 10% travel, including travel to rig-specific OEM locations for pre-commissioning activities

Schedule: Local Schedule: Typically 5 days on / 2 days off or 10 days on / 4 days off, depending on project requirements. Due to the nature and demands of the industry, occasional evening and weekend work may be required, including emergency situations.

Work Location: Zelienople, PA shop and outdoor yard. PPE is required.

Commissioning and Inspection Technician

The Commissioning and Inspection Technician is responsible for assisting with the commissioning of new Deep Well Services (DWS) well-servicing assets and supporting DWS preventative maintenance Category III and Category IV inspections on hydraulic completion units and associated support equipment.

This position supports the assembly, inspection, function testing, disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of new and existing rigs, ancillary equipment, and critical subcomponents. The role also assists with factory acceptance testing and pre-commissioning activities to ensure DWS equipment meets applicable procedures, OEM recommendations, and operational requirements.

Duties

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Ability to work in a shop and outdoor yard environment with required PPE
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% as required
  • Ability to work occasional weekend and evening hours when necessary due to emergency situations
  • Ability to follow DWS procedures, OEM recommendations, HSQE procedures, and supervisor direction
