Responsibilities
  • Act as a commissioning agent for Mechanical systems, including cooling/heating, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and BMS systems in various environments.
  • Manage projects, develop plans, gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects.
  • Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation relevant to commissioning.
  • Adhere to quality management and QC processes to validate and document client systems.
  • Identify and gather documentation, drawings, and data from clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Develop site-specific commissioning plans.
  • Review factory witness test procedures for major equipment and attend witness tests, reporting deficiencies.
  • Lead commissioning meetings, ensure proper documentation, and develop functional tests for various Mechanical systems.
  • Maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and other tools, and write comprehensive final reports.
  • Manage external resources, coordinate meetings, and interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and project team members.
  • Provide progress reports and respond to customer inquiries exceeding expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/industrial training with 3+ years of experience in mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related fields, or Construction Management.
  • Previous experience in Data Centers or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with commissioning or maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with general contractors.
  • Knowledge of major regulations, industry codes, standards, and basic construction materials and methods.
