Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Commission Salesperson to drive store sales in the Dennis, MA area and build strong relationships with Stop & Shop store management. You will handle ordering merchandise, stocking products, and maintaining displays while visiting assigned accounts on a regular schedule.

Responsibilities include coordinating lead times, processing service orders, and pursuing sales opportunities to maximize merchandising effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers.
• Ability to handle difficult or emotional customer situations with prompt responses.
• Willingness to solicit customer feedback to improve service.
• Strong communication skills: speak clearly and persuasively in various situations.
• Ability to read and interpret written information and follow simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships of trust and respect with store management in assigned accounts.
• Relay order information and coordinate lead times with store management/customers.
• Place sales orders to ensure merchandise remains stocked to capacity.
• Observe displays for competitive products and opportunities.
• Check in service orders and write adjustments for shortages, overages, or mis-ships.
• Work with store management/customers to discuss opportunities to develop sales and merchandising.
• Maintain price changes and pricing tags in assigned accounts.
• Sell displays and shippers by presenting promotions to store management/customers.
• Call on assigned stores to place orders for the territory; cover product categories available for service.
• Keep back stock organized in the back room and maintain shop cleanliness.

As a Salesperson with Davidson Specialty Foods, you will be responsible for sales, ordering merchandise, and building customer relationships with Stop & Shop. You will also be responsible for stocking the merchandise sold and should be an early self-starter who can organize and prioritize to complete their daily functions.
