Job summary

Charter Communications, trading as Spectrum, seeks a Retail Sales Specialist to promote and sell our product portfolio to existing and new customers. You’ll be the face of our brand in-store, delivering exceptional customer care and contributing to sales and service goals.

The role offers a base pay of $18.00/hour with the potential to earn up to $22.50/hour through commissions and incentives, plus perks like free and discounted Spectrum services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate payment transactions.
• Comfort with personal technology including mobile devices and video platforms;
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with goal- and incentive-based work environments.
• Strong performance in a fast-paced team environment.
• Effective communication in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Interpersonal skills for building partnerships across the organization.
• Self-motivated, competitive with a drive to exceed sales goals.
• Positive, professional demeanor with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual: Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing the customer experience while meeting sales, service, and operational goals.
• Identifying sales opportunities and creating ideal customer experiences through product support and education.
• Building positive customer relationships, effective listening, and overcoming objections, while reselling the value of our products.
• Maintaining knowledge of Spectrum products, pricing, promotions and visual standards, while minimizing product losses.
• Ensuring a welcoming store atmosphere, delivering a clean retail experience, effective communication, policy adherence, issue resolution and participating in training programs.
