Job summary

Quality Dairy Company is seeking a dedicated production employee for the 1st shift at our Lansing commissary. The role involves assisting in preparation, packaging and storage of products, following GMPs, and meeting daily production schedules.

This full-time position requires working in a cold environment (38 degrees) during the entire shift, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Read and follow directions.
• Follow all safety procedures and GMP’s.
• Thorough knowledge of required equipment used in production.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to move production equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift and pull repetitively.
• Exposure to cold temperature (38 degrees) for entire shift.
• Ability to remain flexible in scheduling to cover weekends and holidays.
• Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong desire to learn and improve.
• Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards.
• Ability to work with and through other people to accomplish production demands, adapt to changing circumstances, personalities and hours.
• Requires judgment and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, packaging and storage of all commissary products to ensure production schedules are met accurately and timely.
• Follow the Quality Dairy Company Code of Excellence and GMPs.
• Safely utilize equipment used in each process, including product make up and packaging.
• Assemble materials and equipment needed for daily production activities.
• Review production sheet to determine variety and quantity of goods to produce using standard formulas.
