Job summary

Keefe Commissary Network, a division of TKC Holdings, Inc., is seeking an Operations Team Member/Delivery Driver for an onsite role in a jail/correctional facility in Sarasota. You will unload orders, verify signatures, drive a box truck, and deliver to inmates and locations with daily pay benefits.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with variable hours; most days require staying until operations finish. Must be at least 21, be able to lift 50 lbs, and have basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Experience operating a box truck desired

Responsibilities

• Unload and verify commissary orders with signature authorization
• Deliver orders to inmates and other locations while abiding by safety rules
• Drive and maintain delivery vehicle, perform basic maintenance and refueling
• Stay compliant with OSHA and DOT requirements

About This Position

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: Variable schedule

You will have a variable schedule with early morning shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 11:00 am start on Thursday, and fixed hours on Wednesday from 1:30 pm - 2:00 am. Please note that most days require us to stay until we complete daily operations.

This position is onsite located within a jail/correctional facility and you will work around inmates. You will report to the Operations Manager.

This position is at most 30% driving. Other tasks will be to deliver commissary orders inmates and filling vending machines.

The Commissary Operations Team Member/Delivery Driver maintains and safely operates a delivery vehicle for transporting commissary orders to specified KCN commissary personnel and locations.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Help unload commissary orders.
• Ensure orders have been signed for and released to approved KCN employees only.
• Maintain required driving laws.
• You will conduct general and preventative maintenance, refueling, and cleaning on delivery vehicle to ensure clean and safe drivability.
• Maintain all forms, certifications, and requirements to remain in acceptable standing with OSHA and DOT.
• You will hand out orders to inmates within the Sarasota Jail and delivering products to other locations while operating a box truck.
• You will deliver to 3 jails a week.
• Must have experience operating a box truck.
• Pay: Hourly pay, every Thursday.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Can work well with people in a correctional facility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with computers preferred.
