Job description

Join to apply for the Commissary Machine Operator role at Northgate Market.

Job Summary: Prepares, tests, and sets up all equipment technology pieces on the production floor. Ensures that all production PLCs work properly and calibrates equipment to meet operating procedures. Commission each piece of equipment and prepare it for the daily production schedule. Ensure all equipment PLCs are in good condition and report any water damage immediately. Input correct dates, codes, and product information on all equipment, matching the day’s production schedule. Execute HACCP under the guidance of the Quality Assurance team. Collaborate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance. Follow GMP policies and procedures, ensuring processes meet customer specifications and minimize risks.

Operate PLC-related equipment with precision and safety, assisting in cooking, packing, x-ray detection, chilling, and maintaining quality, safety, sanitation, and cost standards. Use daily production schedules to batch, mix, and cook recipes, ensuring proper temperatures. Operate PLC programs and work with kettle cooks and sanitation teams for equipment maintenance and cleanliness. Uphold all company policies and foster a culture of Servant Leadership, Respect, Loyalty, Innovation, and Trust.

Essential Duties:
  • Assist in executing daily production schedules.
  • Implement lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Pack, x-ray, and chill products per recipe.
  • Follow formulas precisely, avoid deviations.
  • Practice safety protocols and report unsafe equipment.
  • Maintain sanitation and execute HACCP and SSOPs.
  • Record temperature checks, traceability, and process steps accurately.
  • Ensure equipment calibration and sanitation before use.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
