Come work behind the scenes with the Commissary team at Curry Up Now! Prep Cooks will prepare, serve, sell, and maintain food and beverage items. Responsibilities include taking orders, receiving vendor deliveries, preparing licensed food packages, and cleaning food items. Tasks must be performed in a timely and professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Specific duties include:

  1. Following all recipes and practicing portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
  2. Maintaining proper setup of the kitchen/station daily.
  3. Handling, storing, and rotating products properly.
  4. Completing all items listed on the shift prep sheet.
  5. Setting up, maintaining, cleaning, and breaking down machinery and equipment.
  6. Maintaining stock, cutting, and storing perishables daily to ensure quality.
  7. Completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists.
  8. Reporting product shortages to the manager immediately.
  9. Performing cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
  10. Returning used items, cleaning and organizing work and storage areas, and emptying trash containers.
  11. Meeting with the manager upon arrival and checking out before leaving to ensure duties are completed.

Minimum requirements include:

  • One year of experience in a food service environment.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Food handler's permit as required by law.
