The Role at a glance:

We are excited to bring a versatile commissary/pantry attendant to our corrections team in Newport News, VA. As a commissary attendant, you will have the opportunity to ensure excellent commissary services for an assigned correctional facility’s commissary program or manage a large production-style kitchen pantry for an established dining and events location.

What you'll be doing:

• Fulfilling and delivering food and personal hygiene orders to inmates in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensuring accuracy of filled orders prior to delivery to inmates.
• This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded as necessary.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Knowledge of correctional facility standards and requirements, and ability to adhere to these standards.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• At least one year’s prior experience in a commissary program.

Compensation Range

$15.00 per hour
