Job Summary:

Operate mobile crane truck equipment to lift and move materials, machines, or products in various directions.

Essential Functions:

• Determine load weights and check against lifting capacities to prevent overloads.
• Operate cranes, cherry pickers, electromagnets, or other lifting equipment.
• Inspect and maintain crane mechanisms and lifting accessories.
• Inspect cables or grappling devices for wear and replace as needed.
• Direct helpers during crane setup and operation.
• Maintain equipment and work area.
• Load and unload materials using moving equipment.
• Review work schedules and loading instructions.
• Inspect packaging for compliance and manage packaging tickets.

Secondary Functions:

• Maintain equipment in good working order.
• Clean machinery and work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Control precision, multilimb coordination, depth perception, far vision, and rate control.

Machines/Equipment Operated:

Truck crane, skid loader, industrial forklift, lull, semi/tractor trailer.

Work Environment:

Year-round work with exposure to weather elements and typical operating noise levels.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred certification by North American Crane Bureau Group or National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators; training available.
• Valid Class A license with air brakes.
• 2-5 years of crane operation experience, preferably in commercial roofing.

Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, repair, and maintenance.
