G1 Facility Services is a leading facility maintenance and construction provider, proudly serving customers nationally. We support varied industries, including Aviation, Food Services, and Hospitality. With over two decades of experience, we are seeking to hire a licensed HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Logan International Airport.

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Refrigeration Technician with a strong background in HVAC/R systems. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Responsibilities also include repairing commercial cold equipment such as walk-in freezers, beverage coolers, and industrial ice machines.

Compensation

Salary: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include use of a company vehicle, PTO, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, and 401(k).

Responsibilities
  1. Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
  2. Respond promptly and professionally to service calls, addressing client concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
  3. Diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment problems.
  4. Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  5. Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  6. Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve HVAC-related issues.
  7. Drive a company vehicle to various job sites for service and installation tasks.
  8. Build and assemble refrigeration units as needed.
  9. Follow safety protocols, including handling refrigerants and hazardous materials.
  10. Maintain accurate service records and parts documentation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in HVAC/R systems.
  • Massachusetts refrigeration license or certification.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience repairing refrigeration and air conditioning units.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to refrigerants (R-22, R-410A, R-134A).
  • Valid US driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience, subject to insurance approval.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
