Job summary

The Department of Energy Headquarters is seeking a Commercialization Program Manager to monitor program activities and optimize the Technology Commercialization Fund while coordinating technology commercialization initiatives among DOE National Laboratories, program offices, sites and external stakeholders.

  • Organize and administer technology commercialization programs, to include the Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF), to transition laboratory research into the commercial market.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor in physical sciences and engineering to evaluate the technical feasibility, maturity, and risks of proposed energy technologies and commercialization projects.
  • Analyze technology-to-market programs to assess their effectiveness, identify performance barriers, and recommend strategic improvements.
  • Foster collaborative partnerships and coordinate initiatives among national laboratories, plants, sites, other federal and state agencies, and private-sector stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure milestones are met and program resources are managed efficiently.
  • Prepare and deliver technical briefs, reports, and presentations to explain complex scientific and engineering concepts and justify program recommendations to senior leadership and external groups.

This position is part of the Office of Technology Commercialization, Department of Energy. As a Commercialization Program Manager, you will monitor program activities and recommend improvements to enhance the Technology Commercialization Fund (TCF) along with coordinating other technology commercialization initiatives among DOE National Laboratories, program offices, sites and internal and external stakeholders.
