Job summary

City of Charlotte’s Planning, Design & Development Department seeks a Commercial Compliance Program Manager with extensive zoning knowledge to lead programs enforcing zoning regulations and oversee staff evaluating commercial development for UDO compliance. Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years of planning experience
• AICP and CZO, or other certifications (AIA, GISP, LEED, PE, etc.)
• Three years of supervisory experience in the Planning function

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial zoning staff.
• Coordinate with internal partners and the public on zoning issues.
• Train and coach staff; ensure consistency of UDO implementation.
• Represent department in meetings and present to stakeholders.
