Our Commercial Underwriting Office is seeking a Real Estate industry expert. This role collaborates with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop strategies to deliver industry-specific content, guidelines, and process improvements. It also involves establishing relationships within practice teams of key brokers and educating associates on underwriting guidelines to ensure proper risk selection. You will leverage your underwriting and industry expertise to manage a Real Estate book across the Commercial Lines enterprise, aligning business strategies with production goals. This position is based at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.

Many departments at our Headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio, offer hybrid work options, empowering associates to work from home several days a week. Depending on your role, hybrid options may be available.

The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $150,000 annually, based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on performance.

Be ready to:

• Participate in business initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders across the Commercial Lines enterprise, including IT, Claims, Sales, Loss Control, Commercial Product, and other departments.
• Develop industry-specific underwriting and training tools to empower associates and increase underwriting knowledge across business units.
• Support Sales by articulating our appetite at local, state, and national levels to increase submission count.
• Interact with departmental leadership, providing feedback on strategic objectives and transforming those into practical solutions.
• Conduct book analysis to identify trends and opportunities to strengthen the book profile.
• Develop and monitor industry-specific underwriting guidelines.
• Assist in R&D efforts with stakeholders to create new products and improve the value proposition across Commercial Lines.
• Provide thought leadership, including drafting white papers, alerts, and participating on industry panels.
• Support Learning & Development efforts as a Subject Matter Expert within Commercial Lines and with external agencies.
• Stay informed of current market conditions, products, and coverage needs, and participate in industry functions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key brokers, agents, and industry influencers to assess risk tolerance and market trends.
• Maintain industry-specific association and vendor relationships.
