Frontline Insurance in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Commercial Underwriting Manager to lead daily underwriting operations, set priorities, and drive performance across Sr. Underwriters and Underwriters.
The role includes collaboration with IT on product enhancements and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will supervise staff, conduct semi-annual and annual reviews, and actively participate in underwriting policy development to improve productivity and profitability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; undergraduate education desirable.
- API designation required for current Underwriting Manager position.
- CPCU or other insurance designation desirable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day underwriting operations and assign work.
- Evaluate and conduct performance reviews for Sr. Underwriters and Underwriters.
- Manage underwriting staff to deliver timely, high-quality service to agents.
- Address performance/conduct issues and document HR files.
- Participate in underwriting policy and strategy with senior management.
- Work with IT on new products and process improvements.
- Serve as SME for underwriting systems and documentation quality.
- Oversee special projects from QA and perform other duties as assigned.
