You are home every night! You will load, un-load, and deliver supplies/materials to customers safely navigating a either a 48ft. Flatbed Truck or a 53ft. Trailer in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner throughout the area, transporting, sorting, loading/unloading, and stocking inventory materials and collaborating closely with our customers at all points of the delivery process.

Responsibilities

• Always make safety a priority
• Be alert, focused and meticulous
• Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 80,000 lbs.
• Observe and comply with all applicable traffic laws and drive in accordance with various weather/road conditions
• Loading vehicle for delivery
• Ensure contents are properly and safely secured in a truck to prevent damage/injury
• Maintain a neat, clean personal appearance
• Assist in mapping driving routes
• Stay on a predetermined truck route and ensure timely transport and delivery
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete proof of deliveries
• Returns all required documentation to appropriate company official
• Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations
• Communicate with manager as needed
• Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
• Unload vehicle after completing delivery runs
• Performs simple vehicle maintenance; cleaning interior of the vehicle, checking lights, checking tires, filling fluids, and scheduling routine maintenance to keep the vehicle running properly
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
