Job summary

gpac is seeking a Professional Structural Engineer (PE) to join our Tampa team to design and engineer structural systems for commercial buildings from concept through final design.

The ideal candidate holds a PE, a Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering, 5+ years of experience in commercial structures, strong knowledge of codes, and proficiency with RAM, ETABS, STAAD, or similar software. Excellent communication and multi-project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience preferred.
• Experience designing commercial structures.
• Strong understanding of structural analysis, building codes, and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer structural systems for commercial buildings.
• Perform structural analysis, calculations, and load evaluations.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review project plans and ensure designs meet applicable building codes and standards.
• Provide engineering support throughout the construction process.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals as needed.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and technical coordination.
