Job summary

Crete United in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our team on commercial HVAC projects. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of sheet metal installation experience and is comfortable reading blueprints and working on varied job sites.

You will measure, cut, fabricate, and install ductwork, coordinate with other trades, and maintain safety and quality on site. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass pre-employment checks are required, with

Qualifications

3+ years of commercial sheet metal installation experience.
Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC ductwork installation and sheet metal practices.
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
Ability to accurately measure, lay out, and install sheet metal.
Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and elevated work areas.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
Commitment to safety, quality, and professional workmanship.

Responsibilities

Install commercial sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems according to plans, specifications, and project requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and ductwork layouts.
Measure, cut, fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components.
Install rectangular and spiral ductwork, fittings, dampers, grilles, registers, and related HVAC components.
Ensure ductwork is properly supported, sealed, insulated, and installed according to applicable codes and standards.
Work safely and efficiently while maintaining quality and productivity.
Coordinate with other trades and project team members on active commercial construction sites.
Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment required for sheet metal installation.
Identify and communicate potential installation issues or field changes to the appropriate supervisor.
