Description

Rogers Building Solutions, Coastal Mechanical Business Unit, is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast. We are currently seeking experienced commercial Sheet Metal Foremen to work in the Orlando, Florida area on large commercial projects, mainly hospitals, schools, universities, and government facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that work is completed safely, on time, and according to specifications, maintaining high-quality standards. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a crew of sheet metal workers, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and enforce safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety standards, conducting safety meetings and inspections.
• Coordinate between project managers, subcontractors, and workers, maintaining effective communication.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring accurate measurements and layouts.
• Maintain quality control by inspecting work and verifying proper installation.
• Manage materials and equipment, ensuring availability and proper care.
• Identify and resolve issues during installation, handling challenges like design changes or shortages.
• Keep detailed records of daily activities, progress, and issues, reporting to project managers.
• Train and develop team members, promoting skill enhancement.
• Perform final inspections and testing of installed systems for functionality.

Essential Functions

• Climb ladders, lift objects up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
• Work in various weather conditions, with overtime and weekend availability, and possible travel within Florida.
• Maintain good vision and hearing to ensure safety.
