Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose and service commercial HVAC systems (5+ tons). The role requires reading drawings and schematics, performing field service, and delivering parts and equipment as needed.

You will work under supervision, prioritizing customer satisfaction and high-quality workmanship. Minimum 4+ years in the field and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• HVAC license in Gasfitter 1 or 2 is required.
• Refrigeration license (313A) is preferred.
• Additional licenses (plumbing, electrical, sheet metal, refrigeration) are assets.
• Strong mechanical aptitude in commercial HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer concerns in commercial environments.
• Service commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform start-ups on air conditioning as required.
• Deliver and remove equipment needed to complete service work.
• Provide excellent service to commercial customers and maintain high satisfaction.
• Handle customer questions or problems effectively.
• Prepare material requisition forms to maintain truck stock.
• Maintain equipment, service IAQ products, soldering/welding, and minor field fabrication.

Job description

Welcome!

Under minimal supervision, performs diagnostic and service work on commercial (5+ tons) HVAC equipment and accessories. Communicates with customer to answer questions, resolves problems, and ensures complete customer satisfaction. Promotes products and services to customer. Works under the direction of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving customer concerns in commercial environments.
• Perform service on commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment as well as accessories.
• Perform start-ups on air conditioning as required.
• Responsible for delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete service work.
• Responsible for providing excellent service to commercial customers and sustaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer concerns, questions or problems in an effective manner.
• Prepare material requisition forms to ensure proper truck stock levels.
• Other duties include performing maintenance on equipment, servicing and/or cleaning IAQ products, soldering, welding, brazing, and performing minor field fabrication.

Qualifications/Skills

• The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A license in commercial HVAC required (Gasfitter 2 or Gasfitter 1 License) with
• Refrigeration license (313A License) preferred.
• A license in plumbing, electrical work, sheet metal, or refrigeration an asset.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and experience in the commercial HVAC field.
• Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various projects.
• Adept at servicing commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as related accessories.
• Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of customer-focused service.
• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and production diagrams.
• The ability to work overtime and weekend hours as required.
• The successful incumbent must be able to meet the minimum requirements for our background check criteria.
