Job summary

Entarian in Colorado Springs seeks a Commercial SATCOM SME to support the US Space Force, Space Operations Command, Space Delta 8. The role is contingent on contract award and funding and requires US active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) clearance.

You will develop, plan, operate, control, and manage military and commercial SATCOM systems and software, including DoD Teleports, Gateways, WGS, MUOS, and related planning tools such as JSMPS, JIST, SDB-MT, and SSOMSAT.

Overview / Job Responsibilities

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

We are seeking a Commercial SATCOM SME to support the US Space Force, Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Delta 8. Space Delta 8 is the SATCOM war-fighting lead for the US Space Force and leads the operation, maintenance, and modernization of the Wideband Global SATCOM System (WGS) with points of presence located at multiple sites CONUS and OCONUS, providing the day-to-day operational support needed to manage DoD’s satellite communications capabilities.

The Commercial SATCOM SME will be developing, planning, operating, controlling, and/or managing military or commercial SATCOM systems and software. Examples of such systems and software include, but are not limited to the following:

• DoD Teleports and Gateways
• Service Teleports and Gateways
• Commercial Teleports and Gateways
• Satellite Communications Operations Centers and/or Watch Offices
• Mobile User Objective System (MUOS)
• Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS)
• MILSTAR/AEHF
• Commercial SATCOM satellites and constellations
• Commercial SATCOM planning and management software
• Joint SATCOM Management and Planning System (JSMPS)
• Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool (JIST)
• Joint SATCOM Management Enterprise (JSME)
• Enterprise Management and Control (EM&C)
• SATCOM Ordering, Management & Situational Awareness Tools (SSOMSAT)
• Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution (JSIR)
• Satellite Database - Management Tool (SDB-MT)

Salary range: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00

Minimum Qualifications

• US Active Top Secret (or TS/SCI) level clearance (eligible for immediate adjudication by the cognizant security authority)
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 10 years experience with providing SATCOM transmissions control, operations technical support, and analysis services
• Expertise in commercial satellite constellation and commercial ground station equipment.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of space, SATCOM, airborne, and terrestrial networks.
• Experience in systems engineering related field with a specialization in satellite communications, information technology, or electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated relevant experience with the SATCOM apportionment planning and allocation processes taking into consideration all ground, space, and control networks, and operational control of sub-networks for apportioned SATCOM resources
