Tecta America WeatherGuard is hiring a Commercial Roofing Service Technician in Schenectady, NY. Under Foreman direction, you will install, maintain and repair commercial roofing systems and help ensure safety and quality on each job.

We welcome entry level and experienced candidates. Pay starts at $20-25+ per hour with BOE and generous benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Commercial roofing experience preferred but training provided for the right candidates.
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs regularly and 50+ lbs occasionally.
• Outdoor work in varying weather; climb ladders and kneel as part of the job.
• Reliable transportation to jobsites and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, PVC).
• Follow safety guidelines and job specifications under Foreman supervision.
• Work on various projects in Schenectady, NY with local travel as needed.

Commercial Roofing Service Tech Summary

Under the direction of the crew’s Foreman, Commercial Roofers are responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of all types of commercial roofing systems including EPDM, TPO & PVC.

Commercial Roofing Service Tech Requirements

• Commercial roofing experience preferred but we will train the right individuals!
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs. regularly, 50+ lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work in an outdoor setting, with varying weather conditions.
• Bending, kneeling, climbing ladders all expected activities.
• Ability to follow instructions, perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines, and maintain a strong level of professionalism.
• Reliable transportation to and from jobsites/warehouse.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

• Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature.
• Physical Effort: Extensive standing, walking, climbing ladders. Frequent lifting, etc.
• Travel: Mostly local; within 1 hour
