Job Title: Commercial Roofing Service Technician and Lead

About Pickens Contracting, Inc.:

We are a family-owned company specializing in roofing, ACM (Aluminum Composite Materials) panel fabrication and installation, and sheet metal contracting. Located in the Upstate since 1904, our main office has recently moved to Highway 101 in Greer, SC. Our field crews work at various site locations.

Duties:

1. Respond to service repair calls for commercial properties.
2. Utilize roofing knowledge and safety measures to address leaks, damages, etc., completing necessary repairs and documentation.
3. Communicate effectively and professionally with customers on-site.
4. Perform roofing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on commercial properties, including BUR, EPDM, single-ply, coatings, and other low-slope roofing systems.

Requirements:

• Ability to use a tape measure and simple hand tools such as a hammer, utility knife, and chalk line.
• Effective communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.

Education and Experience:

• Willingness to perform strenuous work when needed.
• Ability to work in hot weather conditions.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, especially for lead roles.
• At least 1 year of service roofing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
