Job summary

JB Roofing, a Tecta America Company, is seeking Commercial Roofing Laborers for our Akron, OH location. Pay starts at $24+ per hour, BOE. No relocation required; Spanish language support noted.

The role involves installing and repairing roofs with BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope. Candidates should be able to work in a team, tolerate outdoor conditions, lift 50+ lbs, and climb ladders up to 60 ft while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of commercial roofing experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to pass pre employment background check and drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair roofs with commercial roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope.
• Work well in a team setting and follow safety specifications.
• Lift 50+ lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, climbing and kneeling.
• Climb ladders up to 60 ft and work on roofs as required.

Roofing Laborer Summary:

Install and repair roofs with the use of commercial roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles).

• Able to work well in a team setting
• Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
• Able to lift 50+ lbs with repeated bending, climbing, and kneeling.
• Comfortable with climbing a ladder up to 60ft and being on a roof
• Perform work to manufacturer's specifications with close attention to safety

Roofing Laborer Requirements:

• 1 year of commercial roofing experience
• 18 years of age or older

• Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature.
