Job summary

JB Roofing, a Tecta America Company, is hiring Commercial Roofing Laborers at our Akron, OH location. Pay starts at $24+/hour, BOE. This role requires at least 1 year of commercial roofing experience and a valid driver’s license. You will install and repair roofs using BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope.

Work is performed in outdoor, elevation-heavy environments with safety in mind. Local travel is required and pre-employment background checks and drug screening will be conducted.

Qualifications

• 1 year of commercial roofing experience.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to pass pre employment background check and drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Roofing Laborer Summary

Install and repair roofs with the use of commercial roofing systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles).

• Able to work well in a team setting
• Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
• Able to lift 50+ lbs with repeated bending, climbing, and kneeling.
• Comfortable with climbing a ladder up to 60ft and being on a roof
• Perform work to manufacturer's specifications with close attention to safety

Roofing Laborer Requirements:

• 1 year of commercial roofing experience
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• Able to pass pre employment background check and drug screen
• Authorized to work in the United States

Working Conditions:

• Physical surroundings: Field environment with exposure to heights, noise and temperature.
