Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator/Project Manager in Chicago, IL to develop accurate estimates, perform take-offs, and prepare formal bids. You will interact with clients, review blueprints, and coordinate with the Pre-Construction team to ensure feasible, cost-effective solutions while maintaining relationships with subcontractors.

The role requires 3+ years in roofing estimation or similar and knowledge of EDGE estimating software.

Qualifications

3+ years of Commercial Roofing Estimation experience.
Working knowledge of commercial roofing documentation.
General contracting knowledge.
Ability to write and review contracts.
Experience with EDGE estimating software is a plus.
BS/BA in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop accurate and complete job estimates.
Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and specs.
Conduct site visits and pre-bid meetings to understand scope.
Review and take-off blueprints.
Solicit bids from subcontractors.
Gather subcontractor pricing and review scope to ensure full coverage.
Evaluate subcontractor bids against plans to cover full scope.
Collaborate with clients to meet project cost budgets through plan details and alternatives.
Maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors with Project Managers and Pre-Construction teams.
Produce P&L reports.
