Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Commercial Roofing Laborer for a Springfield, MO-based role with a pay range of $21.00–$29.00 per hour, based on experience. Full-Time in the commercial roofing sector.

Open to candidates with ~2–5 years of roofing, construction, or general labor experience; commercial roofing experience is a plus for higher pay. Reliability, coachability, and a willingness to learn are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2-5 years of roofing, construction, general labor, or related field experience.
• Commercial roofing experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
• Experience with low-slope systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Built-Up Roofing) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial roof installations, repairs, tear-offs, and replacements.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize roofing materials and equipment.
• Prepare roof surfaces for installation.
• Assist experienced roofers with commercial roofing systems.
• Safely use roofing tools and equipment.
• Follow jobsite safety requirements and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Take direction from foremen and field leadership.
• Work effectively as part of a roofing crew.
• Help complete projects safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards.
