Job summary

Baker Roofing Company is seeking a Roofer to install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems. The role requires 1–3 years of roofing experience, a high school education or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

You will work with TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, and other low-slope materials, while upholding safety standards and quality craftsmanship. Join a team with strong safety training, ongoing career development, and pathways from Roofer to Leadman and Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and replace commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal).
• Measure, cut, and install roofing materials per project specs.
• Install insulation, vapor barriers, flashing, sealants, and waterproofing systems.
• Diagnose roof damage and perform repairs with appropriate materials and methods.
• Safely operate hand and power tools and transport materials on site.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; ensure quality on completion.
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with crew to complete projects on schedule and assist with mentoring newer members.

Position Summary

Minimum Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Install, repair, and replace commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, and other low-slope roofing materials.
• Measure, cut, and install roofing materials according to project specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Install insulation, vapor barriers, flashing, sealants, and waterproofing systems.
• Diagnose roof damage and perform repairs usingappropriate materialsand techniques.
• Safelyoperatehand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport roofing materials and equipment on the jobsite.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout each project.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and PPE requirements.
• Work collaboratively with crew members to complete projects on schedule.
• Assistwith training and mentoring newer team members as experience allows.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds.
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, and balance forlong periodsof time.
• Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.
• Requires seeing details at close range.
• Requires repetitive movement, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Environment

• Exposure to extremely bright or inadequate lighting.
• Working in temperatures above 90°F or below 32°F.
• Exposure to loud, distracting, or uncomfortable noise levels.
• Exposure to contaminants, hazardous materials, and potentially hazardous equipment.
• Working at heights and in other potentially dangerous conditions.
• Exposure to minor injuries such as burns, cuts, bites, or stings.
• Performing work where errors may have significant consequences. Strict adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations isrequired.
