Job summary

Sullivan Tire & Auto Service is seeking a Road Service Technician to perform tire and tire-related services for customers at the commercial service facility and, on a limited basis, on the road. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include mounting and reparing tires, inspecting equipment, organizing work areas, and documenting services. Candidates should have a high school diploma, possible tire experience, and a valid DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Prior tire service experience preferred
• Must be able to lift 125 lbs and hold a valid driver’s license with DOT medical card

Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times according to OSHA/TIA standards and company policies
• Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs tires and wheels as directed by the manager
• Organizes the work site and tools for efficiency and safety
• Inspects tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service and notes needed services
• Documents work performed accurately per company policy
• Provides high level of customer satisfaction to build long-term relationships
• Operates company vehicles safely and complies with laws
• Maintains service truck and work areas clean and maintained
• Performs shop duties such as wheel refurbishment, tire foam fill, and loading/unloading
• Performs other duties as assigned by Commercial Service Manager
• Becomes TIA CTS certified

Sullivan Tire, an employee-owned company, is seeking a Road Service Technician. This position will perform tire and tire-related services according to customer needs both at the commercial service facility and/or on a limited basis on the road.

Responsibilities

• Works safely at all times, according to standards and policies of OSHA and TIA and complies with company standards and policies regarding safety and efficient performance of services.
• Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs commercial and other tires and wheels as directed by the manager.
• Organizes the work site, the vehicles and the appropriate tools and equipment for optimum job efficiency and safety.
• Follows established procedures to inspect tires, vehicles and equipment before and after service, and notes other needed services; makes recommendations to customer.
• Documents work performed accurately and according to company policy.
• Provides the highest level of customer satisfaction to establish long‑term customer relationships and enhance company reputation.
• Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures, and follows all federal, state and local laws regarding vehicle operations and safety.
• Inspects service truck daily, and keeps truck and work areas clean, organized, and well maintained, and uses all company property, vehicles, facilities, tools or equipment properly; notifies manager of need for repairs and maintenance, etc.
• Performs and/or instructs other service‑related duties such as wheel refurbishment and painting, tire foam fill, tire/casing receiving, moving and loading.
• Performs and/or instructs other shop activities as assigned by the Commercial Service Manager.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
• Become TIA CTS Certified.

Requirements

Education/Experience

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Prior tire service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 125 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License with DOT medical card required.
