Job summary

Fisher German LLP is seeking a commercially minded legal, risk or compliance professional to join the Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance. You will provide clear guidance across the firm, supporting colleagues to manage risk, meet regulatory obligations and make confident, well-informed decisions.

You will review, draft and negotiate contracts, terms of engagement and supplier arrangements while helping develop and manage the firm's risk and compliance framework, including AML, data protection,

Qualifications

• Qualification as a solicitor or legal professional with around 4-5 years' PQE or equivalent experience.
• Experience advising on legal, regulatory, risk or compliance matters in a professional services environment.
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex requirements into practical guidance.
• Good understanding of risk, governance and compliance frameworks including AML, data protection and conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear legal, risk and compliance advice to colleagues across the firm.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts, terms of engagement and supplier agreements.
• Support development and management of the firm's risk and compliance framework, policies and governance processes.
• Advise on claims, regulatory enquiries and client due diligence requests, ensuring proper documentation.
• Identify risk themes, improve controls and promote compliance culture across teams.
