Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports commercial clients of Lincoln Savings Bank (LSB) as a trusted advisor bringing a full breadth of solutions to the specific needs of each client.

Develops commercial relationship prospects and manages a portfolio focusing on customer service while appropriately managing risk and credit.

Develops a pipeline of quality commercial loans through professional interaction, consultation, and joint review of selected credits. Completes business development and retention calls on potential new clients and on existing clients.

Manage the on-going sales cycle to meet the objectives of our business customers and to meet and exceed sales goals and business objectives.

Analyzes the credit history of applicants and determines their loan repayment capabilities.

Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications.

Originates and processes commercial loans in accordance with LSB’s internal policy and complies with applicable lending laws and regulations.

Grow a deposit portfolio related to the client relationships being managed, both business and personal.

Identify clients’ needs that can be met across the bank’s business units and deepen the relationship of the bank with the client providing:

  • Treasury Management solutions that provide overall financial solutions and deliver efficiencies.
  • Identify loan needs that may require a credit enhancement through a government guaranteed lending solution.
  • Additional needs of the owners of commercial clients including mortgage, wealth management, insurance, and trust services.

Generally maintains a loan portfolio of $50,000,000 or greater.

Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all LSB’s commercial loan products and services.

Documents calls and reports weekly call reports to supervisor. Utilizes the customer relationship management system to document and report on prospecting and retention activities.

Utilizes Salesforce CRM system to document and report on prospecting and retention activities, also used to refer clients to department outside of lending to fully utilize all LSB products and services.

Necessary Skills and Attributes:

> 10 years of experience in commercial lending and/or credit underwriting required

Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline required, Master’s Degree preferred

Highly disciplined and self-motivated

Exhibits strong business development skills

Strong acumen for solving problems and thinking “on your feet”

Excellent communication, follow-up and time management skills

High comfort level acting as facilitator with clients and colleagues

Ability to consistently manage a portfolio as if it were a stand-alone business unit

Constant desire to learn and develop professionally
