Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic pipeline of commercial relationship leads and generate new business through referrals and networking.
• Originate, structure, underwrite, and close commercial loans while complying with regulations.
• Develop deposits by growing client operating accounts with new and existing customers.
• Identify growth opportunities and cross-sell banking products and services.
• Manage relationships with clients to deliver financial solutions and long-term value.
• Evaluate loan quality by reviewing financial data, collateral and loan structures.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
• Monitor loan portfolio and maintain appropriate risk ratings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory lending guidelines and internal policies.

What You'll Do

• Sales & Business Development: Develop a strategic pipeline of qualified commercial relationship leads and generate new business through developed leads, client referrals, and networking.
• Originate Loans: Work with clients to structure, underwrite, and close commercial loans while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Develop Deposits: Deepen client relationships and connectivity to the bank by developing deposit operating accounts from new and existing customers.
• Identify Growth Opportunities: Cross-sell other banking products and services to help clients achieve their business goals.
• Manage Relationships: Build and cultivate long-term customer relationships through ongoing communication and financial solutions.
• Evaluate Loan Quality: Review financial data, assess collateral, and determine appropriate loan structures.
• Conduct Market Research: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and economic changes that impact commercial clients.
• Monitor Loan Portfolio: Track and maintain appropriate risk ratings on all relationships in your portfolio.
• Ensure Compliance: Follow all regulatory lending guidelines and internal policies to manage risk effectively.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or accounting is preferred.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in commercial lending, audit, loan review, or finance.
• Commercial & Industrial loan experience preferred.
• Proven ability to build relationships, develop referral sources, and grow new account relationships.
• Strong sales skills with experience in prospecting and customer outreach.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment with a flexible schedule.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of an eight (8) hour workday.
• Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet).
• Ability to travel to client locations and other work sites as needed.
