RSC Mechanical is seeking experienced Refrigeration Service Technicians to join a growing, family‑owned commercial service company operating across the United States. The role emphasizes EPA compliance, customer service, and reliable field performance.

Based in Alexandria, VA, you will install, service, and troubleshoot walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, and rack systems, with opportunities to work on CO₂ installations and transcritical/subcritical systems.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC/refrigeration systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; extensive driving is a key part of the role.
• Technicians are expected to supply their own standard hand tools.
• Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Strong communication skills with clients, team members, and management.
• Able to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, parallel rack systems).
• Preferred experience with CO₂ refrigeration rack systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of transcritical and subcritical systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and system checks.
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Replace or repair compressors, motors, fans, and other components.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
