Job summary

Ohio Heating & Refrigeration in Columbus, OH is seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician Service/Installer for a full-time, on-site role. You will diagnose, service, and install walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in units, and related systems per manufacturer specs and company standards.

You will read electrical schematics, document service records, and communicate clearly with customers and team members while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in daily service.
• Experience with display cases, WI & RI freezers, ice machines, under counter bars, and installation of refrigeration equipment.
• Must pass background check and random drug testing.
• EPA certification necessary.
• Must have valid Driver's license

Responsibilities

Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Refrigeration Technician Service/Installer role located in Columbus, OH. The role involves service/install of commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in units, and related systems according to manufacturer specifications and company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting on refrigeration and HVAC systems and conducting repairs to ensure optimal performance and safety. The technician will read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation, maintain accurate service and installation records, and communicate clearly with customers and team members about work performed and recommended solutions. The role also requires adherence to safety protocols, proper use of tools and equipment, and collaboration with project managers and other technicians to complete installations and service calls on schedule.
