The Commercial Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems. Under the guidance of the Area Service Manager, the technician will handle routine service, warranty work, and emergency repairs, ensuring systems meet industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a customer-focused approach. The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and promoting our company's values of quality service and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level customer service, technical ability, and quality to clients.
• Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration units such as reach-in coolers, freezers, beverage dispensers, walk-in coolers/freezers, and rack units.
• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Travel to job sites within the assigned service area and coordinate with dispatchers to maintain schedules.
• Work nights and weekends on a rotating basis for emergency services.
• Maintain company vehicle and ensure proper stock, tools, and safety equipment are on hand.
• Document services electronically and communicate effectively with clients.
• Participate in training and adhere to safety policies.
• Identify opportunities for additional business and report to management.
• Follow environmental regulations, including refrigerant handling and disposal.

Qualifications:

• EPA Certification and Industry Certification/License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of HVAC/R technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and technical knowledge.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, climb, and work in various environments.
