Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems using meters, gauges, and other diagnostic equipment.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment to minimize downtime and failures.
• Work on walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in units, ice machines, refrigerated display cases, prep tables, and other refrigeration systems.
• Check refrigerant levels, locate leaks, and perform recovery, evacuation, and charging as required.
• Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, controls, motors, fans, relays, and other components.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate solutions to customers.
