Job summary

Yellowstone Local is hiring for field service technicians to cover Ocala and surrounding markets, including Gainesville and Alachua County. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems while using company procedures and service standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, thorough documentation, and high workmanship; you’ll work with support from experienced staff and have potential mobility within growing operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration and/or commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
• EPA certification required.
• Ability to follow company procedures, service standards, and documentation requirements.
• Coachable, accountable, and receptive to technical direction and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Work on reach-in and walk-in coolers, commercial A/C and refrigeration systems.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs following established procedures and standards.
• Maintain high workmanship and accurate service completion.
• Coordinate with office and field personnel for guidance and direction.
• Maintain dependable attendance and thorough communication on assigned work.

Your New Role

• Provide field service primarily throughout Ocala and surrounding areas, with current coverage extending into Gainesville/Alachua County, Leesburg, Crystal River, and surrounding markets

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems

• Work on equipment including reach-in coolers, walk-in coolers, commercial air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration systems

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, service, and repair while following established company procedures and service standards

• Complete service work accurately and consistently while maintaining high workmanship standards

• Communicate and collaborate with experienced office and field personnel for technical guidance and service direction

• Maintain dependable attendance, communication, documentation, and follow-through on assigned work

• Provide your own hand tools, gauges, and smaller personal tools; larger service equipment is provided by the company

• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration and/or commercial HVAC service experience is preferred; candidates with 3–4 years of strong, directly relevant experience may also be considered

• Strong commercial HVAC candidates may be considered even with less direct refrigeration experience

• Strong hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostic, service, and repair skills with commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration systems

• EPA certification required

• Ability to follow company procedures, service standards, diagnostic processes, and documentation requirements

• Coachable, accountable, and receptive to technical direction and feedback

• Able to collaborate effectively with office personnel, field technicians, and management

• Willing and able to perform field service work throughout the assigned service territory
