Job summary

The Arcticom Group and TAG Refrigeration are seeking a Refrigeration Construction Foreman to lead commercial refrigeration and construction projects in the Charlotte, NC area. You will supervise field crews and coordinate with project leadership to ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, reading and interpreting plans, maintaining schedules, and enforcing the company's safety program on active job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct crews, equipment, and resources to complete work safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and coordinate daily activities of crew members, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels, productivity, and performance of assigned crews.
  • Plan work sequences to maximize efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor construction schedules on a daily, weekly, and project basis to meet milestones and completion dates.
  • Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Operate equipment as needed to support project execution.
  • Ensure company equipment is operated lawfully, maintained properly, and used effectively.
  • Identify and implement best practices for efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Communicate regularly with project leadership regarding progress, issues, and potential delays.
  • Assist project leadership in obtaining required permits, inspections, approvals, and certificates of occupancy.
  • Monitor and manage employee attendance and jobsite participation.
  • Assign tasks, provide direction, and supervise daily work activities of field crews.
  • Communicate company expectations, policies, and updates to employees.
  • Address employee concerns and coordinate with Human Resources as appropriate.
  • Promote and enforce the company's safety program and foster a strong safety culture.
  • Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings, jobsite inspections, and hazard assessments.
  • Review safe work plans with crews prior to job commencement.
  • Work with Safety Coordinators to investigate incidents, near misses, and property damage.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner to protect employees, subcontractors, and the public.

TAG Refrigerationis seeking a Refrigeration Construction Foreman to lead commercial refrigeration and construction projects in and around the Charlotte, NCarea.

Role Summary:

The Construction Foreman is responsible for leading field crews and overseeing daily jobsite operations on commercial refrigeration and construction projects. This role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, schedules, and quality standards. The Foreman serves as a hands-on leader and primary point of contact between field teams and project leadership.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Understand project scope of work to plan, manage, and execute assigned construction activities
  • Identify potential scope changes and communicate impacts to the Superintendent and Project Managers
  • Lead and direct crews, equipment, and resources to complete work safely and efficiently

Working Conditions:
  • Work performed at active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors
  • Overtime, after-hours, or night work may be required to meet project schedules
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and business machines
  • Ability to communicate effectively through speaking and hearing
