Job summary

KHL Law in Miami seeks an experienced real estate professional to join our on-site Miami office. You will support residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, closings, refinances, and related title work.

The ideal candidate manages title files from start to finish, coordinates with lenders, buyers, and attorneys, and ensures timely closing documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience handling real estate title and closing transactions in a law firm or similar setting.
• Experience with residential and commercial real estate closings and title work.
• Strong knowledge of the real estate closing process from opening a file to closing.
• Experience ordering/reviewing title commitments, estoppels, lien searches, and related documents.
• Proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel; ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Work with attorneys on residential and commercial real estate purchases, sales, refinances, and closings.
• Open, process, and close title files in a timely manner.
• Order and review title commitments, estoppels, lien searches, and related documents.
• Prepare and calendar critical dates, closing documents, HUD-1s, and disclosures.
• Balance files for disbursement and coordinate with lenders for funding.
• Record and file closing documents and maintain organized transaction records.
• Escalate issues to attorneys as needed and communicate progress to all parties.
