SNI has an immediate need for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join a well-established Real Estate Development Practice Group.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly reputable downtown Baltimore law firm with a longstanding practice and pedigree!

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with Title & Survey (T&S) from a Commercial Real Estate perspective, ideally within Commercial Real Estate Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing surveys, title commitments, and exception documents.
  • Drafting title objection letters and responses based on attorney review; tracking issues to resolution.
  • Preparing documents related to real estate, loan, and construction matters, including purchase agreements, leases, loan documents, and construction contracts.
  • Preparing ancillary transaction documents such as escrow instructions, deeds, easements, affidavits, closing certificates, and resolutions.
  • Assisting in real estate, lending, construction, and leasing transactions.
  • Drafting corporate, LLC, and partnership resolutions for attorney review.
  • Drafting formation and organizational documents and filing with Maryland SDAT and other jurisdictions.
  • Maintaining entity files and assisting clients with compliance issues.
  • Analyzing entity structures for compliance with the Corporate Transparency Act.
  • Reviewing and summarizing documents for attorneys.
  • Collaborating with attorneys to resolve daily issues and support transactions.
  • Performing legal due diligence, including searches and environmental reports.
  • Organizing work to meet deadlines with high-quality output.
  • Tracking transaction statuses via spreadsheets.
  • Managing the closing process and communication with involved parties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience as a transactional paralegal, with strong preference for real estate, title, and survey review experience.
