Ideal candidates have 3–6 years CRE finance experience, strong drafting skills, and a background at a large law firm, with hands-on deal teamwork from due diligence to closing.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3–6 years of substantive commercial real estate finance experience.
• Hands-on experience with commercial real estate loans and mezzanine loans.
• Experience as a key member of deal teams, managing diligence through closing.
• Exposure to loan origination, acquisitions and dispositions, securitization, servicing, and workouts.
• Large law firm experience preferred.
• Strong drafting skills and ability to multitask on complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, borrowers, and market participants in commercial real estate finance transactions.
• Manage transactions from diligence through execution and closing.
• Draft and negotiate loan documents, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documentation.
• Advise on securitization, loan acquisitions and dispositions, servicing, and restructurings.
• Collaborate with colleagues across finance, bankruptcy, and restructuring teams on complex matters.

Candidate Profile

• JDfrom atop-tier law schoolwith anexcellent academic record.

• Exposure to loan origination, loan acquisition and disposition, securitization, rating agency representation, servicing, and workouts/restructuring is highly valued
• Large law firm experience strongly preferred
• Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously

Key Responsibilities

• Represent lenders, borrowers, and other market participants in commercial real estate finance transactions, including senior and mezzanine financings
• Manage transactions from initial diligence through execution and closing, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
• Draft and negotiate loan documents, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documentation
• Advise clients on issues related to securitization, loan acquisitions and dispositions, servicing matters, and restructurings
• Collaborate with colleagues across finance, bankruptcy, and restructuring teams on complex, multi-faceted matters
