Macdonald & Company in Pinehurst, NC, seeks a Development Project Manager to lead multiple commercial real estate initiatives from due diligence to turnover. You will coordinate site feasibility, budgeting, scheduling and consultant teams in a hands-on development role.

The role requires collaboration with senior leadership and operations, regular site visits, and strong ability to manage multiple projects across North and South Carolina, with three days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred; related fields will also be considered.
• Experience interpreting civil/architectural plans and site development.
• Experience budgeting and scheduling across multiple projects.
• Ability to coordinate external engineers, architects and consultants.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership, tenants and municipalities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site due diligence and entitlement activities across multiple projects.
• Prepare and evaluate conceptual site plans for feasibility and tenant requirements.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets and schedules from due diligence through turnover.
• Lead feasibility analysis, budgeting, geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, surveys and title reviews.
• Coordinate entitlement and approval processes with planning, utilities, transportation, stormwater, building and fire departments.
• Coordinate with tenant representatives on feasibility, permitting and scheduling.
• Maintain detailed project schedules with milestones tied to agreements, leases and construction.
• Serve as primary contact for external engineers, architects and consultants.
• Support construction through bidding, bid documents and AIA contracts.
• Assist with monthly project budget reconciliations and budget-to-actual reporting.
• Communicate progress, milestones, risks and issues to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with property management through turnover.
• Maintain accurate project documentation across multiple projects.
