Job summary

North American Commercial LV is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting department in Las Vegas. The role oversees AR/AP, GAAP accounting, and the preparation of financial reports for clients.

A strong emphasis on quality assurance and timely financial processes is essential. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Property Management or related field, experience with Yardi or similar software, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience with Yardi or equivalent property management software.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic software tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality for all financial aspects of the accounting department.
• Implements and enforces quality assurance standards.
• Oversees AR/AP to ensure accurate and timely work.
• Performs GAAP accounting at a high level for NAC and NAC clients.
• Establishes schedules for reports, distributions and deadlines.
• Ensures payments and distributions are handled timely.
• Oversees and trains accounting staff.
• Assist Property Managers with tasks as needed.
• Maintains digital and paper document trails within the NAC office and servers.
• Sets up new properties within the accounting software.
• Produces, organizes and sends all financial reports to clients.
• Handles monthly and yearly reconciliations.

Job description

North American Commercial is pleased to open up our search for a Controller to oversee our accounting department. We are looking for experienced candidates to handle the following day to day functions for our portfolio:

• Ensures quality for all financial aspects of the accounting department
• Implements and enforces quality assurance standards
• Oversight of all AR/AP duties to ensure accurate and timely work
• Performs GAPP accounting at a high level for NAC and NAC clients
• Establishes and adheres to schedules for reports, distributions and all other accounting deadlines
• Ensures all payments, distributions and requests are handled with care, diligence, accuracy and within the permitted timelines.
• Oversee’s and trains accounting staff to perform their job with excellent quality
• Assist Property Managers with tasks and support on an as needed basis
• Maintains accurate digital and paper document trails within the NAC office and servers
• Sets up new properties within the accounting software and NAC office
• Produces, organizes and sends all financial reports to clients
• Handles and ensures all monthly and yearly reconciliations are accurate and timely

Qualifications

• Yardi experience (or equivalent) within the Property Management field is required
• Bachelors or equivalent experience within the Property Management industry
• Familiar with all of the typical software such as: Ms Office, Internet explorer etc
