Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of dedicated commercial real estate transactional experience in a sophisticated law firm.
• Mastery of closing mechanics, title insurance underwriting, title opinions, surveys, and commercial leasing structures.
• Proficiency with advanced legal document management platforms, closing software, and CRE mapping databases.
• JD from an accredited law school and active, good-standing NC State Bar membership.

Responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate, and execute complex CRE acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
• Draft and negotiate complex CRE leases for landlords and tenants.
• Represent institutional lenders and borrowers in structuring CRE loans, construction financing, and equity investments.
• Oversee due diligence including title, survey, and zoning.
• Counsel developers on land use, zoning variances, and economic development agreements.
• Draft corporate resolutions, operating agreements, and JV structures for CRE investments.
