Planet Fitness is seeking a New Unit Development Analyst to provide financial modeling, reporting, and analytic support for new unit growth and strategic initiatives. You will work with the Director of New Growth Strategies and cross-functional teams to drive profitable expansion and improved performance across markets.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, KPI development, and automation using AI tools and Power Automate, with a focus on delivering actionable insights for leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong financial analysis, modeling, and data visualization skills.
• Experience using Power BI to create dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop standardized KPIs and financial measures to evaluate new unit performance.

In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader development, operations, and financial teams to drive profitable new unit growth and improve the organization’s business results. This role will report to the Director of New Growth Strategies, and will be responsible for financial modeling, reporting, and analysis to support leadership planning, execution, and decision-making.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Support the creation and maintenance of standardized KPIs (e.g. membership milestones, cancel rate, product mix levels) and financial measures (e.g., P&L benchmarks, economies of scale, etc.) to evaluate and optimize new unit performanceSupport pre- and post-opening financial modeling, reporting and analysis, including trend analysis and appropriate data visualizations to “tell the story” of new unit performanceTranslate business requirements into clear, actionable, reporting and analytics solutions.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reporting outputs.Provide ongoing reporting and analytical support for planning and forecasting cycles.Assist Chief Strategy Officer and Director of New Growth Strategies to evaluate potential new sites using real estate analytics tools such as Tango and other analytic softwareSupport review and development of presentation material for executive meetings.Manage pipeline of new development projects, track progress of project plans, follow-up with team members on status, action items, key milestones, etc.Work closely with Development and Construction stakeholders to understand data and reporting needs, and to identify opportunities for improved processes, insights, and decision-making.Support ad hoc analysis on newly opened units to identify root causes of issues, inefficiencies, and opportunities for solutions (including automation) to drive cost savings and/or performance improvements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, and Human Resources) to align reporting and metricsIdentify and implement AI use cases (e.g., forecasting, segmentation, anomaly detection)Collaborate to deploy predictive and prescriptive modelsEvaluate and integrate AI tools to automate reporting and operational workflowsDevelop data pipelines and workflows that support AI-driven decision-making (e.g., Power Automate)QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field3+ years of relevant work experienceMust possess strong financial analysis, modeling, systems/data, and decision-making skills.Demonstrated experience using Power BI to create dashboards and reports is highly preferred.Strong skills using Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills to bring data from multiple sources and automate recurring processes, perform regression analysis and other predictive modeling, create data visualizations, etc. is required.Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills required.Ability to work independently, and to adapt to a quickly changing environment.Self-motivated with a drive to increase efficiencies and improve processes.Comfortable working in a small office environment and collaborating effectively with others.E-Verify STATEMENT:We are an E-Verify Company.
