Qualifications

Job Description

As the Commercial Property and Casualty Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality review strategies focusing on portfolio analysis in Non-Profit Human Services, Religious Organizations, and Programs. The team collaborates to review targeted and random underwriting files, identifying strengths and opportunities. You will support underwriting leaders in designing and executing training strategies to enhance the performance and skills of underwriters and underwriting activities. Additionally, you will work closely with underwriters and management to identify process improvements and performance opportunities, and may contribute to departmental projects as needed. The role requires nimble decision-making in a dynamic business environment, relying on your experience and judgment to achieve goals. Success in this role involves performing a variety of tasks with curiosity, creativity, and autonomy.

Responsibilities
  • Perform portfolio quality reviews in Commercial Niches and Programs, ensuring policies meet standards for accuracy, proper limits, coverage forms, rating algorithms, and compliance, delivering high-quality products to customers.
  • Prepare executive summaries and reports for underwriting management, including presentations for senior leaders.
  • Collaborate with management to identify inefficiencies and recommend training to improve performance.
  • Work with other business areas to incorporate relevant topics into training programs.
  • Provide guidance and answer questions from underwriters regarding processes, procedures, risk selection, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Contribute to the training curriculum on new procedures, risk assessment, pricing, and market insights.
  • Participate in underwriting projects and serve as the QA subject matter expert.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of commercial underwriting experience or equivalent technical expertise.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a QA Associate or in a similar auditing role.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • Experience in Non-Profit Human Services, Religious Organizations, or Programs is highly desirable.
Compensation
  • $79,200 - $132,000 depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility.
  • In CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and PA: $87,000 - $145,000 depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility.
