Job summary

Sprague Resources GP LLC is seeking a Commercial Pricing Assistant to join our pricing team in Harrison, NY. You will assist with FleetCard program administration, contract pricing, and various back-office tasks to maintain data integrity and support the sales organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the pricing team, supporting customers and internal groups with pricing information.
• Provide training and support to CCNY for the FleetCard Program and assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Manage contract pricing programs for contract customers and maintain pricing data.
• Support onboarding and maintenance of new contract customers and improve processes for better customer experience.
• Coordinate with internal or external counterparts to resolve pricing or order issues.

Our Commercial Pricing Assistant will assist with FleetCard Program administration as well as provide assistance to internal Sprague staff and customers seeking assistance with account setup, settings and/or pricing within back office administrative systems. The pricing team is responsible for maintaining high system expertise and data integrity, thereby ensuring the sales team and its strategies are conducted efficiently with little customer experience impact and maximum support given to the sales team. Responsibilities also extend to entry and maintenance of reference data used by systems, as well as completion of various internal or external reporting requirements.

• Serve as a member of the pricing team, supporting customers as well as any internal group associated with delivered refined product customers
• Provide training and support to CCNY for the FleetCard Program. Involved in daily tasks for Fleetcard and Contract customers including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
• Responsible for contract pricing programs for contract customers including all daily and weekly pricing programs.
• Support onboarding and maintenance of new contract customers.
• Main contributor to the pricing team, supporting customers as well as any internal group associated with delivered refined product customers, apply extensive system and product knowledge to directly or indirectly reconcile difficult issues or problems, and answer complex inquiries about customers, carriers, products, pricing, or orders. Conduct research / coordinate with other internal or external counterparts as needed.
• Maintain customer and other data within the appropriate back office systems.
• Recommend suggestions to improve our processes and Sprague's customer experience and assist with implementation of improved processes and test enhancements as they are developed.
• Assist in training other team members as required.
• Participate in ongoing training to ensure adequate systems expertise and improvement of general skills.
• Participate in team projects as required.
• Provide backup coverage as required.

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:

• Associates degree preferred, 1 - 2 years related experience
• Ability to deliver positive customer and employee experiences through solid verbal and written communication skills, despite geographic or departmental differences.
• Computer familiarity and comfort, including strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including a minimum of Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work well with others, organize workload, and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to conduct research, analyze issues, and resolve business problems
• Exercise sound judgment when directing customer referrals to others, following up as needed to ensure resolution

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at a desk.

• Occasional lifting and carrying light objects (usually up to 10 pounds).

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $66,000 based on experience.
