Qualifications

  • Eight plus years of experience in portfolio management, corporate strategy, or related roles within large organizations.
  • Expert-level financial modeling with experience building complex business cases, investment analyses, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to influence strategic decisions through financial insights and executive recommendations.
  • Experience developing monetization strategies, including pricing, packaging, revenue models, and partner constructs.
  • Strong understanding of consumption-based, cloud, software, AI, cybersecurity, telecommunications, or enterprise technology business models.
  • Experience working with partner ecosystems and revenue-sharing models.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and establish governance frameworks across matrixed organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA valued.

The Role

Are you a strategic thinker who enjoys shaping investment decisions, developing monetization strategies, and using analytics to influence business growth? We are seeking a Commercial Portfolio Strategist to serve as the financial and strategic architect for a high‑impact partnership portfolio. In this role, you will evaluate opportunities, build sophisticated financial models, guide portfolio investment decisions, and help drive commercialization strategies that support enterprise growth objectives.

Working closely with business development, product, finance, sales, and partner leaders, you will transform complex market ecosystem, and financial data into actionable recommendations that influence senior leadership decisions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and has a passion for connecting strategy, analytics, and commercial execution.

Location

The professional in this position lives in Washington State and is available to meet with the Team in the Bellevue occasionally and can work from home on a regular basis.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Lead portfolio analysis and prioritization efforts, recommending where to invest, scale, optimize, or exit based on market opportunities, ecosystem trends, and business impact.

  • Design and evaluate monetization strategies, including pricing, packaging, revenue‑sharing models, and partner commercial structures.

  • Build and maintain advanced financial models that reflect consumption‑based economics, revenue forecasts, adoption curves, cost‑to‑serve metrics, and unit economics.

  • Develop portfolio‑level business cases, including market sizing, forecasting, scenario planning, marketplace economics, and partner incentive analysis.

  • Establish standardized financial assumptions, evaluation methodologies, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency across investment decisions.

  • Partners with value realization teams to define, align, and track KPIs that measure portfolio performance and strategic outcomes.

  • Translate complex analyses into executive‑ready recommendations, presentations, and decision support materials for senior leadership.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing analytical expertise and financial modeling support for high‑priority commercialization initiatives.

What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Eight plus years of experience in portfolio management, corporate strategy, business operations, corporate development, consulting, or related disciplines within large, matrixed organizations.

  • Expert‑level financial modeling expertise with experience building complex business cases, investment analyses, forecasting models, and consumption‑based economic models.

  • Demonstrated success influencing strategic decisions through financial insights, executive‑level recommendations, and funded investment decisions.

  • Experience developing monetization strategies, including pricing, packaging, revenue models, commercial constructs, and partner business models.

  • Strong understanding of consumption‑based, subscription, cloud, software, AI, cybersecurity, telecommunications, XaaS, or enterprise technology business models, including revenue forecasting, profitability analysis, marketplace economics, and unit economics.

  • Experience working with partner ecosystems, alliances, co‑sell programs, hyperscaler or marketplace models, revenue‑sharing arrangements, and partner incentive structures.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency and the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for executive audiences.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, establish governance frameworks, drive executive operating rhythms, and build alignment across highly matrixed organizations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • MBA, advanced degree, or experience gained through management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning, or corporate development environments is highly valued.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$145,456 - $193,940 in these states: WA
