Job summary

Partners Bank in Sanford, ME seeks a Commercial Portfolio Manager to support Commercial Bankers by monitoring the loan portfolio, analyzing new lending opportunities, and assisting with loan closings in line with lending policies and procedures.

You will work closely with commercial bankers and the credit department to provide credit relationship analysis and portfolio support, while promoting bank products in the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the financial field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor commercial loan portfolios and report exceptions.

• Submit requests for appraisal and environmental reports; new loan requests; annual review requests.
• Review documents for loan closings and attend closings as needed.
• Assist with risk rating evaluation, credit memos, review memos, covenant testing, insurance and document deficiency resolutions.
• Ensure proper credit and collateral file documentation including timely collection and analysis of financial statements.
• Promote bank products and services through community involvement.

Summary: The Commercial Portfolio Manager supports the Bank's Commercial Bankers by completing activities to help monitor the existing loan portfolio, analyze new lending opportunities and close loans in accordance with established lending objectives, policies and procedures. This position shall work closely with the Commercial Bankers to provide a high level of support and analysis of commercial credit relationships.

Job Requirements

Specific Job Functions

Monitor commercial loan portfolios consistent with the loan policy, identify and report exceptions, and ensure that credit requests are presented to the proper lending authority. Work closely with commercial bankers, credit department, loan servicing, administrative staff and customers in handling customer requests, maturities and renewals, management of delinquent relationships and servicing of customer relationships. Works closely with Credit Department to submit requests for appraisal and environmental reports; new loan requests; annual review requests, etc. Analyze new requests with Commercial Bankers. Provide primary portfolio support for Commercial Bankers and administrative staff in review of documents for loan closings and attend loan closings as needed. Assist the Commercial Bankers and CLA team with risk rating evaluation, credit memos, review memos, loan covenant testing, insurance and document deficiency resolutions. Work with Commercial Bankers and CLA team to ensure proper credit and collateral file documentation including timely collection and analysis of financial statements. Community involvement to promote bank products and services i.e.: Rotary, Kiwanis or other Civic groups.
