Job Profile Summary

This role involves gathering and managing credit and financial information for analysis of Commercial Loans, Commercial Real Estate, and other business lines within the Commercial Loan Portfolio for current and potential borrowers in the assigned region. The analyst assesses the advisability of granting credit through financial analysis and risk assessments.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  1. Manage upcoming maturities and exceptions, including annual client reviews and covenants, for the assigned region.
  2. Compile financial information to prepare credit histories and interpret financial and industry trends; develop financial spreadsheets and analyze data.
  3. Collaborate with the line of business and Credit Officers to assign Asset Quality Ratings and identify any deterioration or changes in clients' ability to meet contractual obligations.
  4. Set up and monitor covenants as per loan agreements and notify relevant parties of any violations.
  5. Assist in preparing reports, including exception reports, for monitoring and other purposes.
  6. Interpret and provide updates on financial and industry trends, especially related to CRE credits and market factors.
  7. Spread financial statements and provide insights on operating trends and capital structure for initial opportunity assessments and strategy development.
  8. Work with Commercial Relationship Managers to prepare comprehensive and accurate Credit Approval Requests (CARs) for decision-making, including financial spreading for credit memos and reporting.
